Re: good or bad push?
What I find surprising is that Hero didn't raise pre-flop to try to isolate his JJ and also to get a read on Villain, depending on how he responds.

Re: Showing bluffs
In my experience, you will acquire far more chips by continuing to not be called on your bluff hands, than you will by getting the occasional call on your big hands -- by showing your bluff hand --...

Re: Moment of Truth
You're right that I should have considered Axd, but that wouldn't have made a difference. That gives him one less out than JTd or T9d. The call would still have been right. Also, I did raise PF. ...

Re: how much to bet?
You know you're not mucking no matter what he bets, so betting small won't give you any useful options if he raises, and will only get you a smaller win if he doesn't. My goal is to make sure he...

[ QUOTE ]
has the villain raised pre-flop while you were playing? (i.e., would you expect a raise from AQ/QQ+?)
[/ QUOTE ]
The villain had previously raised pre-flop several times, and...

Moment of Truth
I joined this forum because this situation has been haunting me and I need some opinions:
I was recently playing in a $225 buy-in no limit tournament at Taj Mahal, 101 players. About an hour in, I...

Re: why does anyone ever play KQo?
In late position, against a bunch of limpers, KQo is very playable. If K or Q comes on the flop with no A, you probably have the dominant hand. Nothing wrong with that for a small pre-flop...
