Re: 1/2 stud hi game on Stars - too aggressive?

[ QUOTE ]
I don' think that you were rivered. It doesn't make sense that he would have started off with J,3 in the hole.He must have had J,J.You said you weren't worried about him having Q's,but some...

Re: What would you rather have?

Ah crap, I misread it, thought we were playing K5K or AJ7 vs. another hand.

I solidify my position on AJ7, may not be a coin flip, probably 40/60 or 45/55, but I like my implied odds there better...

Re: Can You Call This down.

I agree with Roland's post about folding 5th, boards are decently scary, and you aren't losing anybody. The only thing you have going for you is that you haven't seen one of your other two queens...

I think if you are going to make a play, fifth is the time to do it.

Re: What would you rather have?

This may be a personal preference, but ...

Seems to me like big pairs w/weak kickers, they are close to something like a 60/40 fav. over a smaller pair, and when they have an overcard kicker it...

Re: Rolled vs paired ace door

seems a raise is in order here, why would he play so slow on 3rd with split aces? most likely looking at a diamond draw who thinks you've got a pair of queens ... but of course 4 diamonds are dead...

Re: Simple low limit hand, Split Kings (UB .25/.50)

UB is very soft, don't touch my 3/6 game unless you tell me your name =).

No need for the double raise on 4th necessarily, bet 5th, etc.

Re: Playing against a paired door

I personally would've raised with trips on 5th, even if I was certain my opponent had a flush draw, maybe a made flush.

Don't be surprised to see something like JJ in the hole, and he's hoping...

$11: Check my JJ line

I'll probably answer my own question here ... but here's the hand:

Villain: 1755, Hero: 788, blinds 25/50

Hero dealt JJ in CO, Villain raises to 275 from MP, Hero pushes.

I have seen villain...

Re: $22: QQ, lvl 3 with a small stack

Looks fine, UTG may call since he has such a big stack, UTG+1 may call cause he's a shorty, SB and BB will fold anything but AA or KK probably.

Otherwise you just won 175 chips ... congradulations!

Re: Compare 11s with 55s

I'm just curious as to why you want to put money into the sidebet game and/or blackjack as a means to build your bankroll?

BTW I am doing the same thing now, giving the $11s another shot after I...

Re: a fourth street play - $3/6 Stud High

Not betting fourth isn't terrible ... I agree with Mac here, most of the time you're getting 3 callers, 2 callers 100% of the time.

Re: Standard or bad? (QQ at 11s)

If people are gonna push back / call you with AK/AQ/AJ/KQ, they'll probably call a push too?

They are GIVING their money away (VLC)

I just played a set of 3 $11s at party ... and I got 1st, 2nd and 3rd, one of my better finishes for a while. They were practically giving their money away.

I even played a 'real' heads up match...

Re: flush draw... too aggressive?

3rd: Call the raise, I'd like a reraise if there were players between you and the king, but you actually just got the jack and queen to fold, which is not ideal, you may want one of them to see 4th...

Re: $1/$2 Stud High - Stubborn straight draw

looks fine, i guess you're trying to represent a 4-flush by raising 5th? if thats the case why not bet 6th?

wtf was seat 3 thinking, and why did he not muck his hand?
