Re: Bankroll Requirements
I agree that there are times where buying in short can be the more +EV, but it should by no means be your default move. I find that at SSNL, most of my money comes from my AA vs KK or QQ and me...

Re: tough 55 hand
I think your line is ok. I think its an easy fold on the river as only a complete and utter donk plays AA or AK this way.
The only improvement in the line would be to check behind on turn. I...

Stone Cold Bluff
Ok, first of all let me explain, I normally NEVER stone cold bluff. I only did it here since I smelt weakness, I wanted to show it to loosen up my table image and because I was running good so had a...

Re: PF Decision: Facing a push
Origional poster, to raise with any of this range is fine, I'd maybe add AQo to it. Make the raise $2.5 (4BB + 1 for every limper).
An Unknown Villians hand range we have to assume is...

Re: bottom set in an interesting situation
A tight/passive villian raises 5.5 BB preflop, the only hands I put him on are AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK,AQ. You are beating only 1 of them. I think the turn check is correct, and the river should be a fold....

Re: A-Qo and A-Jo on SB
Unless its just me and BB, I limp AJ every time if the pot is unraised and fold it to a raise.
I raise AQ with 1 limper and maybe 2, not more though. If it is raised before me, I call or muck...

Re: AK TPTK OOP RAISED BIG ON FLOP
I fold this without a read, AJ and 66 are serious possibilities and a big draw is 50/50 with us if he even plays it this way.
Also I pot the flop, since the board is draw heavy

Re: AKs in the BB vs a rock
you describe villian as a rock, yet you choose to reraise his 6BB raise (with no limpers before him) with AK OOP, why?

Re: JJ...
I probably fold this preflop to the re-reraise. You are calling for set value as surely you have to put MP on AA or KK. I'm not sure that you therefore have odds to call the extra $12.
I'm also...

Re: LIVE 100NL pretty flop facing huge overbet
Call, if he has a set or 2pair, we still have outs (and are even a fave against 2,4). But hero is ahead a lot and a lot of the time here, and when he is ahead, villian as verey few outs to outdraw

Re: QQ hand...trying to spot a set
My only preoblem with raising the flop, is that I thought his most likely holdings were 44,55,66,77,88,99,TT, 56, 67, 78, 89, since he was leading into me. Having said that, it could be the whole "he...

Re: Do we limp low PP (22-55) UTG?
I play full ring at Full tilt, and i limp 22-JJ UTG
The reason i think it is +EV to limp the 22-55 UTG, is....If it is limped round, you obviously have value to hit your set. If some1 standard...

Re: super push
Although this play is standard...I'm wondering if it should be.
I see your opponent's range as AA, KK, QQ, AQ and AhKh, hell he could even have AhQh or KhQh.
Your 1st raise on the flop is...

Re: NL 100 (6 max) - T9s
Bdaws, you seem to be very confident that the villian was bluffing on this river....how come? If the player seemed to be better then a beginner, are you still calling on the river?
Also, baring...

Re: KQ in unraised pot
Against a short stack, I suppose your line is fine (Although personally I would either check the turn or set him in, your line is fine)
I think the more interesting question is, how do you play it...

Re: JJ - flop all-in call
Surely this is a fold here? You've only put $9 into the pot, why risk $50 more when the best you can hope for is a coinflip and you could very easily be dominated.
I know that the calculations...

Re: Caught Flush on River, but is it best?
The hands that you're beating are smaller flushes and a naked King and maybe air sensing weakness.
You're obv losing to a higher flush and the FH.
Ofthe hands hero's beating, a smaller flush...
