Re: how to deal with a loosie passive

Against this type of player, just keep on value betting until you get raised. Then you have a decision to make. Without further reads, I would value bet the river in the first one.

Re: 5/10 deepstacked fullhouse river play.

Thanks for all the replies. I called his river pot sized bet. My reasoning was that if he had a hand like KK or QQ, he wasn't going to call a raise. From the betting sequence, I thought a lone ace...

5/10 deepstacked fullhouse river play.

Partypoker nl 5/10 6 max. Villain doesn't stand out, seems to be a regular. I have been playing loose and aggressive. Effective stacks about 4k at the beginning of hand.

I get JJ in the SB. UTG...

Re: This line probably sucks, but I hate leading and folding to a rais

raise pf
the way u played it fold pf to the raise
flop is player dependent but i tend to check call those who dont fire 2nd barrels

Re: PP $200 - T8s flops two pair

just shove it in... u are even money against a big draw and if he has 55 he gets my money. he might have a lower2 pair which many turn cards can scare him (and maybe you) off. so get it in now.

Re: 400 NL-- QQ on the river, bet or check?

the minraise and the small turn bet looks like a draw pricing himself in. esp after that river check, you know you are way ahead.

Re: 5/10 6max: 2 pair c/red on turn.

it looks like you are beat here by everything except a bluff.

Re: AK flops top 2...what to do on river?

how about a more decent sized value bet? 1/2 pot that a weak ace will pay off?

Re: play?

oh what about a CR all-in that might commit a king? I don't think a hand like QQ and JJ will look u up here.

Re: Butchered bottom 2

hand1: you can't always worry about sets. the thing is you are out of position and you will have to fold to a turn bet if you just call, and a good sized reraise doesn't solve anything.

hand2: it...

Re: Set of 3s at NL400

lead the flop
you can't fold the river with those odds
your play makes no sense... if you think you are beat, fold teh turn. if not, shove the turn.

Re: Value bet this river?

i like a check call here or a smallish fake blocking bet and see if he would bluff raise me.
i would also bet more on the turn

Re: Butchered bottom 2

hand 1 push the flop after his minraise if he will fold a Q here.
hand 2 push the flop after utg minraises. u are way ahead of his one pair hand.

Re: Party 5/10: AQ TPTK

raise pf
as played, lead that flop for a decent sized pot bet
as played on flop, call the bet and reevaulate turn to avoid the unpleasant situation of playing a huge pot with a weak 1 pair hand oop.
