Re: Middle set 9s vs. turn 3-str8 and flush draw
"overall solid, tight/aggr player"
Meh, tough hand. The only option I can think of is to bet only 1/2 the pot on the turn and rely on the fact that he will only raise you with the straight and...

Re: PLO tournament, in position with straight draw
I think you should have folded the turn after deadmeat calls. You are not going to get paid off by him if you make your hand, he won't call with the other player all-in and its unlikely he will bet....

Re: 2 pair
First to act in an unraised pot, 4 left to act?
It depends on an awful lot of things. How strong are your redraws? How draw heavy is the board? Is your 2 pair with AK or 73? That makes a...

Re: deep-stacked aces
Big stack played this hand terribly. He played it like he was on a small stack.
I think BiggerStack should have raised the flop. There might be some FE there.

Re: Turn Semi-Bluff. Standard? (stars .5/1)
I think he has KQ with two spades, and he's not folding that, so there is no point in sticking alot of money in the pot when you are behind. Just call and fold if you miss. He's offering you a...

Re: Tells
I agree, there are many reliable tells among average players. Whenever I play live my winrate improves a whole lot as a result of these tells. But the kinds of tells that are more universally true...

Re: Online poker on Christmas and New Years Day?
[ QUOTE ]
You should realize that at least Pokerstars is expecting a very light christmas day, they changed there $500 buy in $750,000 guaranteed tourny to a $100,000 added tourny.
They took away...

Re: PL25 - T4 on TTJ42 board. Correct riverbet?
Just bet, bet, bet here. In a raised pot at the 25's when you spike top set on the board with top kicker, then turn a boat, you should be happy to get it all in. They will call you down with much...

Re: Top two pair and flush draw
I hate your line. Bet the flop. Then make a read on the action that follows - do they have a set or not? Act accordingly.
If you lead this flop and then find yourself raised and reraised, you...

Re: Superhuman Powers
I would take X-ray vision. I would schedule my power to coincide with the WSOP ME. I would dominate, cause I would know everyone's hole cards AND I would know what cards were coming next.

Re: Hand against Chufty - interesting situation
There are two possibilities where he takes this line. One is that he he went for the c/r on the flop with a set, but when the turn made a straight he also picked up a flush draw so he bet anyway.

Re: Weak AAxx hand for me. Party PL$400
I like your line. Its better than reraising preflop cause there is some fold equity. If he has KK you would get stacked either way.
A preflop fold would not be horrible given your read on the...
