Re: Aces Hand
How many passive minded bad players 3-bet out of nowhere? Most would just call with AQ, right?

Aces Hand
The SB is loose and passive. He calls down many times he is beat. MP has been out of my way the whole time, he is always passive and fairly loose. I haven't seen him go to town like he did on this...

Re: Turn Against Tight, Passive
That's right. He never capped. I haven't watched enough hands to be completely sure of his play, mainly because he hasn't played many hands. So I don't have great specific reads, I just have observed...

Turn Against Tight, Passive
I'm dealt AKo in MP3.
UTG+1 raises. I reraise. Everyone else folds. I call.
The flop is K93 with two hearts. I have the ace of hearts.
UTG+1 checks. I bet.
The turn is a non-heart queen.

AA on the flop
I'm dealt AA in the BB.
MP2 calls. Button raises. I reraise. MP2 calls. Button caps. I call.
The flop is T72r.
Should I check-raise the button and possibly push out MP2? Or is it more...

Re: JJ Shorthanded
So overpairs in big pots demand calling down, even when you are likely behind?

Re: JJ Shorthanded
It was just like moose proposed, I check-raised the button, button 3-bet. BB came along.

Re: JJ Shorthanded
When I get 3-betted, aren't you thinking QQ, KK, AA? BB was in the hand to the turn also. I'm getting 24 to 1, and I'm getting real close to that, so I call. Should I ever call down here?

Re: JJ Shorthanded
okay...
Button 3-bets, I call to hit a boat. If I miss my boat on the turn and still have the overpair, should I call down?

JJ Shorthanded
This is my second hand at the table, so I have no reads, which makes this hand very difficult.
I'm dealt JJ in the SB. Folds to button who raises. I reraise. BB calls. Button caps. I call. BB...

Re: Can I find a fold here?
Pop that turn. He could have T9 or T8 but its not especially likely. I'm not fearing a set that bad here either. If he capped the turn, you could probably fold the river. But your two pair is very...

Re: live 1/2 SH hand, top pair turned flush
In a loose, passive game, you think TPMK is worth a 3-bet here? You don't have any overcards to the queen, you have the backdoor. Don't you fear being outkicked? 3-betting while being outkicked would...

Re: Do I have enough to call?
As long as your opponent has not paired with the board and does not have an ace or ten in his hand, then you're fine. But can you take that for granted? And furthermore, if he does have an ace,...

Re: Against a thinking TAG.....
If he's really a thinking tag and you know he'll fold marginally weak aces on the turn, I'd just call down. Otherwise you're forcing him to raise or fold, so let him bet the weaker hand for you.

Re: Laydown or not?
grunch...
Hand 1: Since you capped the flop and he bet the turn, he probably has you beat, but you have good odds to beat a weak two pair. I wouldn't have capped the flop, but I would have called...

Re: Preflop Question
If I were suited, I'm calling 100% of the time. But offsuit, you think I should call? I was tempted to ask because...I would have flopped kings full of tens on the flop. Someone with pocket 7's...

Preflop Question
Unusual hand preflop. MP2, MP3, and CO all post. I'm in MP1 with KTo. Two people call before me. Should I call? I folded, but is it close either way?
