Re: PP 33r: Am I being results-oriented?
I'd push the turn. With your loose image you should get called by a wide range of hands that you are way ahead of including 2 overs. Villain's probably calling you with a 2 or a 3 and expecting you...

Re: Playing too less hands in Tournament?
This narrow range is about 5.6% of your hands that you will open/raise with and a few other hands that you will limp.
With this tight an image, I would look for resteal opportunities.

Re: all in or stop and go?
If you are ahead of his range you shouldn't consider a stop n go.
Stop n go is useful when:
1) you have no FE BTF but may have some ATF and
2) you are not ahead of his range
small pairs are...

Re: 99 preflop decision $100r
This hand has been bothering me for a day.
I think hero's move is totally dependent on the table and the players, but in general I don't think a fold is incorrect (unless the table is passive)...

Re: math quiz
1. Villain folds hero wins 4K.
Villain calls hero hits str8 15% of the time and wins 10K and 85% of the time loses 4K. Net -2K.
villain folds 33% of the time to break even.
2a. Who knows. hero...

Re: How low would you go...
the ICM model does not account for position, blind or stack size. All very important in this situation.
Short stacks equity in the pot is irrelevant.
Hero has about EV 550K if he folds, $ 250K...

I'm going to squirrel this through the foxhole-- unless he wobbles.

Re: How low would you go...
I got about the same numbers.
Hero risks 250K to win 100K in EV or 2.5:1 and has to be 72% in the hand.
Somewhere around JJ is EV+ considering villain is tossing out the bottom range of his...

Re: Did I make the right call here?
Easy call. 2.4:1 => that you have to be 29.5% in the hand to call. Even against a tight range you are 30% and more if the range loosens up.
Of course you are a donkey for raising 85o from MP in...

Re: Two hands (Stars 45k)
Hand 1:
I'd fold and let it go. This is a situation where I might not offer a continuation bet (based on opponent) because its unlikely that the flop hit hero. I'd probably be looking to...

Re: Bellagio ME hand #3
I'd call and play for set value.
I think a fold is better than a push.
Here's why I don't like a push.
Hero has no ability to fold out the following hands: 88++,Ak,AQ. Roughly 70 hands, 3...

Re: SB push with 53s ... stay with me
Let's suppose your numbers are correct, which they're not.
Villain has to fold 37% of the hands for hero to break even, or 453 hands out of 1225 possible hands. Villain would have to fold about...

Re: SB push with 53s ... stay with me
Villain has 4XBB left as stated in the problem, the BB is a sunk cost. Villain gets 5XBB:4XBB pot odds and has to be 44% in the hand against hero's range to make the call. Less if you are willing...

Re: SB push with 53s ... stay with me
A player with 4XBB left is the worst player at the table to steal from.
From villain's point of view, Folding 75% of the time is a terrible option when you have 4XBB left and your opponents...

Re: SB push with 53s ... stay with me
Most players overestimate their fold equity.
Villain only needs to be ~40% in the hand, and is in critical chip situation so may make calls with less than 40%.
roughly Villain calls any...
