Calling a raise after you limp.

Lets say on UTG+1 you call with 88 for 10 chips

blinds 5/10 for simplicity sake

Someone behind with position raises 45 so the pot is 60 and 35 for you to call. 35 to win 60.

When should you...

Best tournament I ever played 9th place so far, PLAY TO WIN!

I keep playing my local live tournaments at the indians. Usually they are 4000 chips or 2000 chips with 30 or 20 min blinds. Their blind structure is very nice going up slowly.

I've gotta 3rd,...

Re: AJ vs I dont even know what to call him

Good point. I shoulda raise the turn. Phucker hit runner runner str8 with KQ. I called like a moron. Shoulda raised that turn. Think he still woulda pushed. I saw him do it before on just a draw

Re: TP against flop aggression

If I had to guess I would say Q9 here.

QQ, 99, 77 hed raise PF. 34% VPIP I dont see Q7s or 97s.

The problem with calling the flop and raising the turn is what he thinks you have.

for the...

Re: AK 3/6 SH

I suspected the raiser just had TP. He checlk raises/raises a lot with TP. But the chance of having 6 good outs against 3 opponents is lowered. Also SB could have a set but doubtful.

Re: How Many Suckouts Do You Make In Your Tourney Wins?

Re: Playing the opponents hand and not yours.

I play live mostly.

LIVE TOURNAMENTS I analyze the following.
The player type
Their position
How fast they took to raise
How did they handle their chips
Their PF raise amount
Their reaction...

Oh ya, #4)stealing the blinds, and not running into AA!!

Re: How Many Suckouts Do You Make In Your Tourney Wins?

If you go all in 4x in a row with a 75% chance to win.. then you only win all 4 31% of the time.

.75 x .75 x .75 x .75 = 0.3164%~

that's all I'm saying. I'd rather level out the luck with...

AK is a hand that is very powerful when you are first into the pot. It is also a good re-raising hand. However, there are many times in SNG's where it is proper to fold AK.

Re: How Many Suckouts Do You Make In Your Tourney Wins?

I think selecting the right time to risk all your chips is very important. 75% ahead only wins 1/3 of the time if you are all in 4 times.

I prefer building my stack with smaller raises and bets. ...

Doesn't take but losing 1-2 extra hands an hour on the river to turn +2BB per 100 to -2BB per 100.

Or missing an extra 10% of the flops while your opponent with his J5s hits his pair while you bet...
