Re: Set hits vs. weak tight nit
Nah just smooth call against a nit. He's going to put you on a pocket pair between 88-QQ when you smooth call. Let him do the betting when he shuts down then push. When you raise him on the flop and...

Re: Being hot vs being due
If this a unbiased random event, then your odds on future tosses are not affected by switching to tails. (Tails=Heads)
If this is a biased event i.e. Tails>Heads or Heads>Tails then switching to...

Re: I was ruined by a downswing and advice.
It is entirely possible that you are running bad and playing poorly. Stats aren't the end all be all of cards but you've got to realize that folding in all marginal river situations is not positive...

Re: Being hot vs being due
I'm still amazed that people are actually are sticking with heads more than switching to tails. The chances that this coin is perfectly fair is growing smaller and smaller and it is much more likely...

Re: Deep 100nl with one crazy villain
lol, at this point the board reads KKdQdJd. If you had a 7 high flush how excited would you be to put money in the middle? If you had KT how excited would you be? I think this is a good board to...

Re: Deep 100nl with one crazy villain
doesn't sound like a bad lag. Just sounds like he ran an aggressive bluff putting you on a flush when you minraised the turn. You'd be tough pressed to call there without the pure nuts or something...

Re: KK 3way
Calls and forgets about it. You are good here 25% of the time (3:1 needed to make call). But you are probably beat here close to 65%.

Re: Maniacs, and more maniacs (low/no content)
I think you have to realize that capping every pot at .5/1 isn't going to cost even a medium stakes poker player that much cash. I think probably the maximum loss is 200 dollars or a reraise at...

Re: 5/10 NL 6 handed QQ......
Calling sucks. You'll never be able to bluff raise a river against him. If he folds everything here except AA here you need to loosen up your play. I.E. BLUFF ALL-IN EVERYTIME.

Re: I\'m playing a 480xBB pot with AA, 100NL deep
If he's three betting you frequently. You need to expand his hand range. This also means that your normal WA/WB situation when he also has an overpair is no longer true. How sick would you be if you...

Re: Can I extract more from this flush?
If you slightly overbet the flop the pots 15 going into the turn. Bet 15 on the turn and then the pots 45 going into the river. Bet 45 on the river. This line nets you and extra 21 dollars.
If...

Re: Folding KK preflop for the first time ever
Usually you'll still see JJ or AK in this situation. I folded KK today after a limpreraise then a push, but in general I hate it. That's basically the minumum action for me to fold. If the guy wants...
