Re: This is Weird
I don't know. I have no idea. but something just doesn't seem to add up to me. It seems TOO unlikely that she tears apart tourneys on other sites, and JUST moved to stars, only to win the stars...

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm
So if you were given the option to put all of your chips in the pot as a 51% favorite on every hand of the tournament, you would do so?
Even if calling here is +EV, it is only by a slight margin,...

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm
I realized this after I posted.
If it's a deep stack, then i think you lean even more towards folding, as you don't need to be making these types of plays in marginal spots. Especially not with...

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm
I disagree. I think the turn play is easier with the pot fairly small and stacks pretty deep. I think Hero got lucky here that the villain was drawing really thin. But throw in one or two hands...

WHY NOT A SET?
I have read a few posts totally discounting the possibility that villian has a set. That seems ridiculous to me. With the flush draw out there, betting upfront with a set is pretty standard. ...

Re: Overcards + Flush draw Hmmmmm
I don't like the re-raise one bit. Presumably, you re-raised to 1600 to take the pot from him right there, as there is really no value in putting in the raise. But if you think you can take the pot...

With which hands do I call here.
Ok, so it's right after the first break. $11 Multi with over 1200 runners. avg is 4005. This is the 5 hand after the break, and the first 4 were folded to the button, so either everyone is getting...

Re: Stars 11re&ad/AQ hand
Why put in over half of your stack in PF. Just push or limp to take a flop. Actually, pretty standard auto-push PF here. On the flop, you are getting all-in.

Re: Best Strategy for Speed R+A?
The only $2R speed tourney I have ever played is the super satellite on stars. This must be a different tourney you are referring to, in which case, I was mistaken.

Re: Bet or check River here?
I don't think villain will. I simply said that it is more likely that he will in a live tourney. Maybe even as much as twice as likely to do it live than online. This is simply because there are...

Re: TPTK, OOP against a big stack
I make good size value bets the entire hand. Don't see how I can get away from TPTK in this spot. you may have an abv. avg. stack, but you only get dealt so many good hands in an sng, so this is a...

Re: Best Strategy for Speed R+A?
I think rebuy trick is a bad idea for the $2R, cuz the payout is only $33. You are gonna be putting in a lot of money to try to get a small return.

Haven't read the rest of the thread yet, so this may be just a lot of repeated stuff. But as a (essentially) first time live player, I would be more concerned with not giving off my own tells than...

Re: Bet or check River here?
Check. pretty straight forward for me. You don't beat the caller enough of the time to make it valuable. Also, this being a live tourney, I am of the opinion that the opposition is more capable of...

Button has been playing very aggressively, punishing limpers whenever possible, and pushing when they...

Re: Anyone Call This Overbet?
you may have slight EV in calling this all in here, but you are giving up more equity from later situations by risking your stack here.

Re: Anyone Call This Overbet?
I fold. And fold very comfortably.
I don't think it is worth putting your tourney at risk here when you are the puppeteer at your table. If avg stack was 9k+, calling becomes a very viable...
