Re: 99 vs shortstack poster

I dont like the push. I think villain will call with any A or some Kings...

Just call and see what happens.

Re: KK OOP on an AQ flop

Bet... I would expect you to take it down right there a lot. If he calls/raises, I am done with the hand.

Re: AQ facing a limp min re-raise flops TPTK, lost here.

I would just fold preflop to these kind of limp reraises. Often they are AA/KK and at worst they are 99... you are either marginally better or drawing virtually dead...

Re: 1/2 Live AA hand... I really donked this up.

The reason that most ppl call 10x BB in those games is that they do not think pot size or BB when making decisions. Rather, they are thinking the amount of money that is being bet. Calling 20...

Re: 400NL: AQo on SB, call the river?

Yeah, I see what you are saying... I am just very weary of playing large pots with A/Q oop and am not sure what the long term value of this could be.

This is probably more of a style issue and a...

Re: 2/5 Live hand against good LAG

Fold... he has you enuf times here for this to be a good fold and will save you money in the long run.

Just out of curiousity, as I am going to the Wynn next weekend for the first time, how does...

Re: TPGK vs Wierd Action. 5/10

I say fold this, though you could see a flush draw here some of the time, which is I think the only hand that you are ahead of that the villain would play this way...

I think villain has a set...

Re: Another tough hand against a TAG villain.

Fold is absolutely the right way to go here. Why r u raising pre with such a marginal hand as A/T?

Re: 2/4 Folding a flush when board pairs on river

I really think that villain would have ck raised/led with a set on that flush draw flop. Therefore, I think if he is beating you, he has a higher flush most of the time.

This is very read...

Re: 400NL: AQo on SB, call the river?

I would not reraise A/Q out of position here, you are setting yourself up for a big pot out of position with a marginal holding.

I think u need to block this river...

Re: 400NL T8o blind defence

I would just call the flop and lead the turn. I have found that in many instances, villains with just overs will call the flop ck raise (of reasonable size) and then proceed to ck it down. If you...

Re: 5/10: QQ vs. lolo

[ QUOTE ]
How optimally is lolo reading your hand here? My guess is you'd have an ace or a full house basically never.

This is a very good point. If lolo is as good as most ppl...

Re: 2/4 NL- If it weren\'t for luck, I\'d lose everytime

My issue with raising with K/J is that it has reverse implied odds. I would much rather raise with 8/6 suited, though it is a much worse hand, at least I know where I am post flop.

Re: AK in peculiar spot

This is all good advice. My reason for cking behind on the turn is that you are either WA or WB. Your opponent is drawing to at most 9 outs with 1 card to come, and I dont really want to play a...

Re: AK in peculiar spot

Bet more on teh flop, like 28 at least. Ck behind on turn. Call modest river bet and bet 2/3 pot if cked to on the river.

2/5 NL live hand, I have every out known to man

Live 2/5 NL game, both villain and I have approximately 700. EP has approximately 200ish and sat down short.

2 limpers and I limp 4/6 clubs in MP. Villian raises to 20 on the CO. 1 other caller...

Re: Nut Flush on paired board ....

I can't put the villain on a smaller flush, since he would have likely bet the flop trying to take it down. I can't see villain having trips since he would have bet the flop. So I can't see villain...

Re: $200NL vs, 5/10 (6 Max)

If 200NL has a lower std dev, why do you need a higher bankroll? Isn't the bankroll directly related to the standard deviation of the play?

Re: $200NL vs, 5/10 (6 Max)

1 and 2. these questions depend obviously on how good he is at NL vs. limit. Though I think you make more money from limit given comparable skills.

3. I think the 5/10 requires a bigger...
