Re: Pocket TT - What to do on River
OK, I'm convinced I did the right thing by betting.
I bet, he raised, I called, he flipped over KQ, I slammed my mouse.
Now let's debate calling the raise and whether I should have been...

Re: Posting the Big Blind
I just noticed something weird in my stats. I only played about 35%-40% as many hands from the "7 from the blind" position as from all the other positions.
What could account for that?
Plus,...

Re: Posting the Big Blind
Thanks. It's probably not that big, but it must be enough to matter over the course of a year given that I do it so often.

Posting the Big Blind
When I join a table, I really don't like to wait for most of an orbit before playing. So I post the BB. Unfortuately, I usually get tired and take a break after 60-90 minutes and then do the same...

Top Pair Medium Kicker
Am I supposed to raise this flop to protect my hand and find out where I am even though my kicker is medium?
What am I supposed to do on the turn when there's a donk bet?

Re: Pocket TTs
I would toss it, but I don't think this is very clear. You could call and fold UI on the turn if you don't want to give the impression that you fold too easily to flop raises.
Calling down seems...

Thanks. I should have been more specific. I had no reads on this guy, but the play in general was pretty poor.

Re: Bet this River?
I would bet, but it's tough to come up with what he's been calling with all along other than a flush draw or a pocket pair. He folds just about anything else. If it's the flush, you get popped if you...

Re: Blind Steal Situation
That makes a lot of sense when playing against pretty good players, but this was a pretty sorry lot (if you know what I mean). I raised and he folded. So I thought I should check on what other people...

Re: T9s in big pot
Fold to the turn check raise. He cold called a flop raise. I doubt he's bluffing. The board isn't very coordinated. He's probably got trips.

Re: Pocket AA
Well for one thing, when the flop was capped I felt that it was fairly likely I was up against 2 pair or a set. (66, 77, or 67 being the most likely hands). A very strong draw was also possible,...

The flop cap by MP1 when it was two bets to him made it seem very likley that my AA was beat.

Re: Pocket 99s
I understand the logic of his suggestion. Unfortunately, I actually thought I was ahead because of the flop check followed by the turn check (which turned into a CR). Given the way I played it, I...

Re: Is this Chip Spewing?
This looks OK to me, but I try to limit these kinds attempts to players that are more likely to lay small pairs and other such hands down.

Re: Pocket 99s
I bet the turn because he checked the flop (that's why I bet the flop too) and I didn't see how the turn changed anything. Normally, I would lay this down to the CR, but the fact that there were 3...

Re: KK Played Wrong: Where did the mistakes begin?
I think the turn donk bet by SB usually means you are behind. It didn't create a draw possibility that he might be betting. Folding right away seems too weak. I would call down assuming I was beat...
