Re: Big pot with TPTK
Well played. The other option is to push the river, as Villain might check behind with a worse queen which he surely won't fold if you push. I don't see myself getting away from this here.

Re: Picking off a bluff
Weird hand. I'd probably lead the turn, it plays differently. I'm not sure about the call, I'd like it a lot more if you had the King of diamonds. I think I probably call as played, but I think it's...

Re: .5/1 AK mega draw
Typically raise preflop, although w/ no reads checking is alright. This is fine postflop.

Re: PP $200 - TT as overpair
I like betting this turn. Easy fold if raised, but why give him a free chance to outdraw you with a naked diamond or an overcard?

Re: A situation I loathe
[ QUOTE ]
Fold. No way you can figure out if your hand is good without putting your whole stack in the pot.
You're most likely barely ahead or way behind.
Reverse implied odds are a bitch. ...

Re: 97s.
You just invested $88 with zero pot equity. Plays like these are collosal leaks, even though we all make them from time to time.

Re: Flop Decision with QQ
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe he can fold KK or AQ there.
[/ QUOTE ]
If he called off that much of his stack preflop, he is never folding any ace here, much less AQ.

Re: Articles about no-limit
I didn't particularly like the JTo article. It seems to be that the author is expending a lot of energy trying to justify suboptimal plays in a spot where optimal play will get the job done. With...

Re: KJo flops to two YAY
If he checks, I bet as there's a good chance he's on a draw. If he checkraises all in it I'm probably calling even though I hate the situation.
As far as his range of hands goes... you're the one...

Re: Flop Decision with QQ
His range of hands has you crushed here. I think a check/fold is in order. Yes there is quite a bit in the pot and Villain did buy in a little short, but I think I cut my losses here.

Re: 100 NL 6max vs. 50 NL 6max
In my experience $50 NL is much easier. $100NL 6max is tighter and finding good games can be tough. $50 NL 6max players are very easy to bully.

Re: Calling raises with dominated hands
Its fine. Against LAGs you want to play more hands, especially with position. I think KQ+, AJ+ and such are fine hands to take a flop with. Reraise stuff like 78s in position too.
