Re: How many bets with the nuts?
As affluent pop sensation Junior-Senior once said: D-D-D-Don't Stop the Beat!!
Time should not be a factor. If you have the nuts who cares how long it takes? At the end of the hand, you will have...

Re: Strange Claims
If no one posts before the flop, why not just deal everyone their hole cards and the flop at the same time. In fact, at that point, why not just have it an automatic check to the turn and take out...

Re: So I think I\'m ready to move up
Once, when I was playing online poker I won three hands in a row and I decided I was good enough to move up and went and played at the 5/10 NL table at Poker Room and now I live in a cardboard box.

Re: Is this standard or stupid?
Seems to be pretty standard to me. You have less than 5BB so a push here after you're shown weakness on the flop seems to be the right move.

Re: AK ITM vs action
My first instinct would be call as whenever I see AK, I become like a bull in a china shop (which is a complete leak, one I'm trying to fix right now). Staring at this hand for about ten minutes,...

Re: I need some words of wisdom from the 2+2\'ers
I play exclusivley on Poker Room because I use a Mac and well, that's how that goes. The rake hurts me alot too, but I don't really have a choice, so I stick around. If you have a choice, I'd make...

Re: Bubble hand - do I have to bust?
Agree. It seems like an especially good push considering the two small stacks are the blinds. Like the others said, just got hit with some bad luck.

Re: Another way to win with pocket pairs
I'd probably bet about half or a little more than half of the pot here, like you did. It seems like the consensus at that point is to check/call down to the river at that point... I think I might pop...

Re: Result
Nothing like getting called pre-flop with a 7 9 off.
I like the idea presented earlier about changing your pre-flop raise for every caller that comes before you. Although before knowing that my...

Re: Do you call the turn here?
I fold the turn. I see the SB completing their straight with the 5 and I see the BB either with the set or a bigger pair than your. Although, since the BB didn't raise pre-flop, he might have flopped...

Hell yeah. I have some leisure suits from the seventies that I know would look ultra-classy at Wynn's poker tables.

Re: Was I robbed?
Don't want to simply sound like part of the chorus, but yeah, you got ganked. The fact that the floor didn't give you the pot after the table agreed you showed the nines is just a bad call. No class....

Re: 44 big blind hand
I know it's been said: I check-fold on the flop. If you get a free look at the turn, even better. I'd still check fold on the turn though, someone pairs a hole card, you're pretty much screwed.

Re: RESULTS
I tend to agree, 3-bet the preflop... That way, on the flop, you can raise again still representing a stong hand. I would tend to think the guy wouldn't chase a runner-runner flush after a 3-bet on...

Re: One of those horrible nights..
The second time I ever played at a table game was a 2/4 at the Rio. That morning - my first ever table game, 3/6 at Harrah's - I had made over 300 in a little less than four hours. Man, I was on...
