Re: Bad Players = Hard to Beat????
This isn't the case. There are a couple of things going on. One, he just happened to hit hands. Everyone, good and bad, will experience that. It can happen over a fairly lengthy period of time...

This flop felt like a way ahead way/behind when he led into me. And I definitely don't want to give him an excuse to fold if he's behind.

Re: The Linear Equality Fallacy
Your sample size over that time period is woefully indaequate to begin to conclude anything about winrates. In any event, if what the OP is talking about is playing less than optimally after a...

Re: True vs Mack the Fork II
Given the action, once he checks the turn, I put you on JJ/AK as the most likely holdings, as I think you'd pitch 99 (if you'd even cap that here) on the flop, and would probably not take this line...

Re: Flip the Cards Over
I think that is the point. Here is a scenario where all of BB's outs are totally clean, and there are no horrible redraws against him. There is basically no scenario better than this. A lot of the...

Yeah, that could well be another 10% higher easily. Give us examples of hands you are raising and hands you are folding when it is folded to you on the button.

Re: How do we play low PP (22-66) UTG?
Depends on the table. If we're getting 5 or more to every flop, often without a raise, for sure limp. If its a little tighter or more aggressive, but people go way too far postflop, you can also...

Re: 70k check-up
Waaaaaaay too tight. You ought to be playing at least 16% of your hands, and probably more. You should really be playing more hands in later position, and way more in the BB. Take W Derange's...

Re: OESD
I'd fold. The 8's are good most of the time, but the K is going to lead to a chop a lot, and also lead to losing to a boat sometimes. Weak-tight players here have a lot of this board. You may even...

Re: Call or fold? Is this a close decision?
So do we have a bdflush draw, or regular? I assume bdoor, otherwise it really isn't close. If MP1 had bet I'd make the call. However, MP1 checking is awfully suspicious (or maybe he has AJ or TT...

From what I recall the table is playing pretty loose, and I believe in particular the BB is a flop peeler who folds a lot on the turn (but that doesn't really matter in this hand). ...

Re: Cold calling preflop
Yes, but that isn't the only factor. For example, say you have a hand that is a 60/40 dog HU. Say the BB entering would drop your equity to 35%. Your equity has dropped but now you have 35% 3-way...

Re: Another hand with Padawon\'s Master
I hope everyone can see that we have an open-raise in the CO, followed by a 3-bet by the button. This is much different than raising UTG and having to call 2 back to you.

Re: Quotation from \"Small Stakes Hold\'em\"
They are presumably referring to the internet, where many 2+2ers play 4-8 tables, some play 10. In fact, I assume that virtually all online players at 2+2 probably play more than 1 table at a time.

Re: The Protected Pot Effect: A Study from 2/4
I think so. A couple of times this happened to me. I raised KK or something got like 4 callers, flop is something like JTx, check, I bet, call, call, call. Turn is a T, say, and it goes check, I...
