Sigh.

Talk about immaturity and not understanding full context...

I guess I should be waiting for that challenge too.

Re: My Reason and Phillips Poll

Those who think that the Nazi comment was meant serious might want to look at a posting on Paul's board from last month making fun of invoking Hitler / Nazis:...

Re: My Reason and Phillips Poll

Nothing wrong with Paul's initial posting, and the request for private and public apology was ridiculous and childish.

2+2 loses more by chasing the professionals off over petty nonsense than the...

Re: Trips and scare card on the turn

Thanks for the comments. I led the flop because I was afraid it might check through, with a possible 4 to a flush and 4 to a straight for AQ, AJ, QJ, J9.

Didn't think at the time that with only...

I would've seriously considered check-raising the flop. 3 left to act behind you in a big pot - I really think you can expect a bet from one of them.

A read on some players would sure...

Re: Disaster Strikes

your stats look fine, and 888 hands is a pretty small sample size. Where do you lose big ? Do you overplay overcards where the flop doesn't hit you ?
What are your worst losing starting hands ?

Re: raising the turn even when I suspect I am behind??

What happened pre-flop ? Hero raises and the 3-bets ?

I like the turn raise, even though I'd be a little concerned about CO betting into you on the turn after you 3-bet the flop. T9s to beat you...

Re: KQ in the CO strategy question

No reads at all on the button ? Looks like the button wants the blinds to fold, so I wouldn't put him on a monster hand. Medium pair, two big cards maybe. Without any reads, I'd probably call his...

Fighting over a buck (low / no content)

Sorry for rambling

Live 3/6 last night, I'm on the button with 72o or somesuch. Folded all around (no, I didn't try to steal the blinds), and BB asks SB if he wants to chop. SB says ok, BB throws...

I might just call it on a rainbow flop, but with the two spades out, I raise this every time.

Quads and no action

Live 3/6, reasonable table. About 30 hands since I sat down, couple of fishy types, I didn't play many hands yet.

UTG with JJ, I raise, folded to the button, who calls, BB calls.

Flop JKJ...

I'm not discounting the 5 very much on the turn so the original poster is, imo, correct that he is stuck to go to the river.

Mike

Easy turn fold ? Heads-up, 5.5BB in the pot with one to call and 7 outs (deuce or trey), hoping that MP1 doesn't have something like Jsxs.

Re: Everybody poops

I'd vote for c/f, too. MP1 bought a free card for his straight or flush draw, but I doubt that all three are on draws. If it was just BB and MP1, I might bet here.

I do get tired playing decent hands into a group of maybe 3 players that play every hand and stay in to the river with an assortment of bottom pairs and gutshot draws.
