Re: Flopped set, and a nightmare appears
My advice depends on how strong your preflop AA/KK read is. If thats for definate then clearly check/calling the turn and river is the best solution because it gets the max from KK/loses the least to...

Re: Which game to play against aliens?
I'd say Snooker. Same rational as pool but the chance of a lessor player beaten a better player in any given frame is far less than in pool.
Obiously this could be both a good and bad thing.

Re: 87s - River bluff
I don't like it. After your push the pot is 225 and he has 100 to call. I think K/Q/J /images/graemlins/club.gif all make a crying call because when someone trys to represent a hand they backed into...

Re: AQ $50NL 6-Max
The K on the end is a great card. As you're now ahead of A9 which looks to be his most likely hand. Add in AJ/Ax and the possiblity he was blocking with a flush draw on the turn and bluffing the...

Re: Set of sixes: Devil or heaven
The fold on the end is pretty clear. You need to raise the flop, especially against players who get commited with mid strenght hands.

Re: AA on xyy board (WA/WB?)
If the flop comes 444 I'm value betting on all streets.
If the flop comes 55T I'm value betting all streets
If the flop comes 2KK then I'm going to be a lot more carefull
All this assumes...

Re: SSNLHE Heads Up Tournament
Me too I was 1-3 before this all went quiet.I'm also out $5 which I'm not to bothered about but it'd be a shame to be scammed.

Re: How bad is variance?
Most of this has been covered but I will say, if you're aware enough to know that 2+2 exists then you're good enough not to want to buy into NL25 games shortstacked.
If you don't want to commit...

Re: aggression in 6 handed NL
I think I only open limp 22-77 in early position and pretty much nothing else. I'll limp a lot of stuff in position when there are plenty of people in the pot already. There is no excuse for open...

Re: New to 6-max, not sure how clear cut this is
Hand looks fine to me.
Rasing 88 out of the blinds is a fine play IMO, the main reason being it so simple to play postflop. I can't think of many flops that will give you a hard decision. They'll...

Is there a case for making your buff on the end $200. Obviously you lose some FE because you are betting him less chips, however you get at least some of that back because your bet looks less...

Re: First gross hand in 100NL
Nasty, but I think you played it ok. Without stats you can't get much more aggressive and you can't fold to either of those bets. Hope he showed you AT and not the flush
