Re: KQ line
[ QUOTE ]
AQ, KQ, and QJ I would think, and we lose to two of those and split with the other one, not to mention UTG might still have an overpair or AQ himself.

I think you're right...

KQ line
Hi all,
Going to Foxwoods tomorrow and was doing some practicing by following the advice of one of the better posters here. Dealt myself all 10 hands to see what developed. Assume all tags, 1/2...

I disagree that KQo and AJo are good cold calls in the SB. I much prefer to 3bet and drive out the BB. These hands prefer HU action. I agree about the good drawing hands,...

Hand 2 - just complete preflop. A raise forces the BB out pretty much never so all you do is tie the three of you to the pot postflop. Your hand is pretty good but you have...

Re: 2 Bind Defending Hands
Hand 3 is usually a fold for me preflop. The way it went down I play it the same.
Hand 4 I don't like as much. I think if you bet the turn you should fold to a raise. If you call the raise you...

Re: 2 Bind Defending Hands
I think hand 1 is good. A3 is too strong to fold to a steal raise but that flop is just lousy and the turn is even worse.
Hand 2 - just complete preflop. A raise forces the BB out pretty much...

Ahh thanks for the response! What about sit and gos (or even multi-table sit and gos) - do they have anything like that there?

Moving up is never a good solution. Consider that at 2/4 you would have lost twice as much money on these hands. Twice after experiencing the same thing you described I've moved down 2 levels to...

Foxwoods Tournament Schedule
Hey all,
The wife and I will be taking a trip to MA from 12/23-1/7 and we're hoping to get down to Foxwoods while we're up there. I was hoping to find a good $20-$80 buy in no-limit tournament...

Re: Fold my flush?
I would fold this preflop.
Best I can figure is MP looks like AQ since he didn't 3-bet the flop or raise the turn, which I think KQ would often do at least one of the 2.
Since CO is...

I'd easily 3-bet this preflop, especially with a poster trapped in there.

Re: full ring vs. 6-max
I think this is a great post btw jrz. It's funny when I tilt I go the other way, back to my natural laggish tendencies. Maybe that's why I prefer 6-max. There are some definite advantages to full...

He makes the assumption that in such a loose game, betting will not protect your hand from QJ and K10 hands. I think I might agree with that assumption, and say a check-raise might be a...

Re: I raise A9s on BB with 3 limpers. Correct?

Would no one go for a check-raise on the flop? Betting out gives everyone 11:1 to call. Chances are you are ahead, but you are vulnerable to at least 4 overcards and spades on the turn, so...

Re: Another riverdecision
I think check/folding here is fine. There's a very good chance he just made a flush or has been calling down with an ace/higher pocket pair. When you get called/raised here you lose more than 50%...
