Dost Thou Pusheth Here...eth?
This is a 10+1. Two large stacks are in the blinds while I'm on the button needing to move soon. I felt that this was a borderline situation, since I had two more free looks before the blinds hit...

Re: Nasty Chase, Painful Laydown
Your preflop raise is too little. In the first level of ultra low limit tourneys, you need to raise more to get rid of those weak draw hands. I pop it up to 60 here.

Re: TPBK against miniraiser?
My line (coming from a non-pro, grain of salt, yada yada):
My Ace is secondary. I'm in the big blind, so I want him to think I have a three. I check-call the flop and check-raise the turn.

Re: I hate to ask this, but...
Maybe I've gotten worse, but it seems that players have improved all over. I have a feeling, though, that as soon as the 2005 WSOP is broadcast on ESPN the tide will turn sharply in the other...

Re: 5$ UB tourneys
I'll play these tourneys occasionally, though I've found the $10 game to be much more profitable since there's about half the players and larger payouts.
For both the $10 and $5 game, I play the...

Hypothetical 10x BB question with Giant Blinds
We all love the 10x BB rule...
...but what about when the blinds raise so large that the entire table is at 10x or less? Do you stick with the all in strategy? Or maybe change it to a 7x BB...

Re: pot committed?
Your preflop raise is ok, but I would make it 150-200.
The flop bet is fine. Maybe 100 more...not too important.
Push the turn. You have 300 chips left, overpair, 3rd nut draw...I'm willing to go...

That's a rather large raise for K/K don't you think?
It's not as likely. Rather, it's much less likely. Especially if you have one of the kings.
You have the...

Re: Eevee\'s First CHALLENGE
He raised 6x BB which makes me think he has 10/10 or something like it.
I would have put him all in for a coinflip that could knock him out.

Re: Another $%@* KK post
IMO a pot bet is too much here even with the flush draw. Betting 2/3 pot still gives the draw incorrect odds to call and saves you some if he reraises with an Ace.
If you bet 2/3 and he calls...

Re: Another $%@* KK post
Fire a 2/3 pot bet and fold to a reraise.
You cannot check here. There's a very good chance that the button has no Ace, and checking gives him the pot (if he knows what he's doing). Your preflop...

Re: What is the correct play, here?
33% of his stack? Pre-flop or flop?
If you mean pre-flop (it was actually somewhere around 27%), what's the stack percentage cutoff where it's better to just go all in? 25%?
