Re: Gigantic 30/60 pot, 51.5 bb\'s
I'm saying I wasn't 100% sure I was beat until UTG raised the river. That and I expected 89 instead of AK. But damn you have to call 1 bet just in case...

You have to get away from your preflop read when you have convincing evidence to the contrary - namely the turn action.

Not really. People go bonkers in pots like...

I'd put UTG on A /images/graemlins/spade.gif K /images/graemlins/spade.gif and slow down. In fact, I probably just check-call the river.

Re: Gigantic 30/60 pot, 51.5 bb\'s
And regarding the river raise. Obviously no flushes. And I was not worried about JJ or QQ, since the latter half of the field slowed down. Damn the straights. I led hoping everyone went bonkers w/ a...

Re: Gigantic 30/60 pot, 51.5 bb\'s
No Hyundai for me. Original raiser had AA - ahh they can never lay that down can they? Donk had 89 for a straight, figured someone in there for that. But the one that got me - UTG had AK. Dude didn't...

Gigantic 30/60 pot, 51.5 bb\'s
Since the hand converter is not working, I'll try to summarize. I'm in the BB and pick up TT. First 4 limp, LP raises, button and SB fold. I 3bet hoping to knock a few out, UTG calls, suddenly tricky...

Re: Pretending I have AK 30/60
[ QUOTE ]
But if you were intending to push him off QQ/JJ you probably need more than just the K on the flop, unless he's pretty weak tight. You got the Ace on the turn to accomplish that but a...

Pretending I have AK 30/60
Tightish table. I raise TT from UTG, get 3 bet by a 19%vpip button, called by a loose SB, I just call. Flop comes K high, 2 diamonds. Check to button, he bets, SB folds. I call. Turn is A spades. I...

Re: What happened to 30/60 short tables?
Well, I'm done w/ the 30/60 during peak hours. Might drop down and play 20/40 short - not sure what the other options are. Sitting at the 30/60 tables, it was obvious there were several multitables....

Re: The amount you sit down with at a table
I think an exception to what most people are saying would be the highest stakes games, 150/300, 200/400 and 300/600. I think everyone does a double take when they see someone sitting w/ 100k....

Re: Sucks . . .
Most of my "buddies" consistently played SH games, no matter how bad they were. I would think those "dabbling" would stick to full ring games???

Re: Hate it or love it? And a question...
I see more people betting the turn and checking the river w/ a weakish kicker after the PF raise. But the turn check is nice if it can induce a bluff. However, I'm not running into top pair, or any...

Hate it or love it? And a question...
Full 30/60 game. 1 or 2 limpers in MP, button limps, SB completes I check T9o in BB. Flop: K-9-2 rainbow. SB checks, I bet, MP limpers both fold, button raises, SB calls. I call. Turn is a 4, putting...

Re: Sucks . . .
So any theories? Was the 30/60 really breaking people too fast? I believe they added them in mid May - so it's been about 3 months.

Re: What happened to 30/60 short tables?
I'm just stunned, the demand is obviously there for more tables. I guess you were right and party is "protecting the fish". I'm guessing 20/40 is now the only choice for SH. Or I might have to check...

That's not even a raise after a limper shorthand in my book.

No offense, but I'd consider a new book. I live to isolate weakish limpers w/ little pair's SH. I wouldn't...

Am I the only one upset about what's happend at the 30/60? It's hard to get a seat now!!! I've only got one game going and waitlisted for the other 3... they have definitely reduced the # of 30/60...

Thanks everyone. I bet, with the same logic as surfdoc, they called 2 once they'll do it again. Button raised and everyone promptly folded - I was disappointed. Rest was standard. I 3 bet and he just...
