Question for Homer

I saw you have a bunch of new casinos at bonuswhores. When you put a site up, how much research into cashouts etc do you do? Do you give them a test run?

Tuco.

You guys are such hypocrites. Like you haven't been doing casino bonuses in the past months and using the BW site or using knowledge from people who use the site.

If I have played somewhere before, this is what I'll do:

- Download the software and check the different game options and specific rules (this primarily applies to blackjack) to determine the best game and the house advantage.

- Play some hands at various paces to determine the hands/hr for different levels of expertise (expert/intermediate/beginner) and screw around with the software to get a feel for how nice it is.

- Contact customer service in various ways (e-mail, live chat) and ask them mildly difficult questions to get a gauge on their response time and quality of response.

- Go to the website to get the details of the bonus (deposit/bonus/playthrough/how to acquire the bonus/restricted games/etc) and cashout details (how long they claim that cashouts will take/whether or not players will need to provide documentation/etc).

- Research other forums to determine how long cashouts actually take, to see if a casino has a sketchy background, to see if players have been barred for being "bonus abusers", etc.

If I haven't played at a casino before, I'll do the above and additionally will play at the casino and go through the whoring process.

I'll also accept feedback from posters on our forum and change reviews based on that information.

I readily admit that not all of our reviews have met this standard entirely. For example, for some of the new casinos, there are no customer service details as of yet. These missing details will be updated, though. I felt that I was better off getting reviews up and adding minor details later, as you never know when casinos are really going to start cracking down on profitable bonus opportunities.

While I agree that this question could have been asked via PM, it is also perfectly valid to ask it here. I am sure that the answer is of interest to every poster who uses BW, as they need to know whether our reviews can be trusted or not.

I have been trying to avoid discussing BW here unless someone asks a direct question about the site. You'll notice that many posters have asked questions about how good such and such a bonus is, and I've answered those questions without spamming.

The only way I could see someone getting upset at this post is if they think I asked Tuco to post a softball question in order to get some free exposure. Frankly, though, we don't need the exposure, at least not right now, as the casino whoring craze has created enough free exposure for us without us having to resort to such underhanded tactics.

[/ QUOTE ] dont direct that diatribe at me I have nothing against bw.com or Homer.I was just saying that the initial post asked a good question specifically how does bw.com screen clients if at all.

bw.com is a good site for poker stuff but I already now whats going on in poker. If I were to take casino bonusing seriously it would be one of my first stops.

I have only used bw.com once for a link and that was for an ICP skin Classic Poker...

This is a simple misunderstanding, I'm sure. You accidentally replied to DoubleUp instead of Tuco. Thythe thought you were saying I might have been spamming. I think. Maybe I'm wrong.
