i dunno...with a set, i would play it the same way. i'm just not sure about top 2. you gotta be pretty confident that you aren't against a flush(or a set) to play the way you did. i am interested in the more veteran players' opinions.

Re: Flopping top two on a suited board

preflop: fold
flop: good raise. id raise to 8 instead of 10 but not a huge deal. (to the other poster: your not up against a flush enough here to worry with it with these small stacks. more likely is a flush draw, or any other hand you beat). then easy call of his reraise. even if he does have a flush you still have close to odds to fill up

Preflop: Fold, especially to the SB raise. This hand should be hitting the giant muckpile in the Stars data center so fast that it knocks the dealer tip from the last pot right out of his robotic claws.

Postflop: Well played.

Re: Flopping top two on a suited board

The reason i called the raise preflop is because it appeared i would have the position on the hand (unless the CO came across a hand from the posted BB)

i raised 8 because that was the size of the pot before i put my money in.

Anyways, the opponent had Th Kd for a straight draw and flush draw.
