Epic 2+2 Battle

Well, maybe not epic, but when two 2+2rs are going at each other, it's worth a glance. The best part is that neither of us won it (typical Party).

The other 2+2er knows who he is and is more than welcome to post here and confirm my suspicion of Aces (or Queens?).

Other than that, did I play this right? Should I have slowed down earlier? You be the judge.

Re: Epic 2+2 Battle

You played it fine. I think folding the turn wouldn't be a bad decision.

It's nice when your opponents are calling 3 cold with ATo and A6o.

Re: Epic 2+2 Battle

I am the other victim. Holding QQ as you guessed.

The pot is gigantic at this point, so I took a looong time deciding whether or not to fold. But a board doesn't get much scarier, with both the flush and an open ended straight out there (to which I could not improve...) so I folded.

Not many people will bet back into you on the turn like that unless you are beat.I would have to call this bet and another on the river if I stayed in, and people don't bluff even 1 in 10 times here. I am happy with my fold.

Ohh, and congrats on your win (in the long run). That rush winning 3 huge pots in a row was awesome! Was cool watching you bring them down with your aggressive play.

Heh, thanks ,that was quite a rush. I guess you could call raising queens into a big field aggressive . After the first two wins it seemed like the entire table was out to get me on the third one. I was a little worried until I turned my set. Then it was all good!

Here's the rush Dieter referrs to. It's so beautiful I just have to share. These hands were consecutive. Hand 1 is straight-forward I think (I'm willing to limp in with QJo lateish). Hand 3 is also straight forward (raise at every opportunity). Hand 2 might have been able to be played better. (Not 3-bet the turn to keep more people around perhaps?)

Re: Epic 2+2 Battle

Hand 2: Easy muck with no limpers in front of you, no way I'd play this here. Raise BB's initial flop bet, this is a dangerous flop that you shouldn't be slowplaying
