Oakland Raiders thoughts and bets
 

What is the over/under on how many games it takes before Kerry Collins takes over? I think it should be 3.

I believe the Raiders season win total will be a great bet this year, especially if Collins starts on kickoff weekend.
The Raiders have done what they do best this offseason: pick up a bunch of aging but still-effective veterans at good prices, all of whom have something to prove. They are a good mix of young and veteran talent with a coach who may not be perfect but has proven he can build an offense.

I see the AFC West as the weakest division in the AFC if not the NFL. Yes, I know the Chiefs are there but they are just a scary but vulnerable team, not a wall.

Raiders could sneak away with 9 or 10 wins given their soft schedule. I don't know what the season win totals are for this team but I'd be surprised if it's over 8.

I agree. The Raiders made some good moves and I like Sapp and the No. draft pick a lot.

I also would like to know the over/under on the 49ers. They lost a lot and should win too many this year, IMHO.

my book has oakland over 8 +120, under 8 -150
and the 9er's have no line up yet..

The Raiders are old...I don't seem them winning more than 8 games this year.

agreed... it's early, but with Collins and the geezers, they look like the Giants of yester-year [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
