WSOP side pots

Are side pots used in the main event at the WSOP or does further betting cease once a player is all in? I watched a hand at the final table where Moneymaker and Vahedi had chips remaining and a 3rd player went all in on the flop. The turn and river were dealt and it didn't appear that MM and Vahedi were given the option to bet. I guess they could have checked it down and I missed it. Any help?

You missed it if so as there are side pots.

They did check it down. Since neither of them had very strong hands (both had a pair of 5s on the flop), it doesn't make sense for them to bet into a "dry side pot" (which is a side pot with no money in it). If their opponent folds, they still must beat the all-in player, and if they don't, they win nothing. Also, in a tournament like the WSOP, the payout differences are so high that eliminating a player is of a huge benefit to the others (though with Vahedi's and Moneymaker's stacks at that time, they probably weren't thinking about moving from 8th to 7th).
