Keeping track of rake on party

I would like to keep track of my rake contributed on party poker. I own pokertracker, but it only shows the rake on hands that I won, and it doesn't integrate my SNG fees into that number. It's not that I don't trust my affiliate (I do), it's just that I would like to keep a running number for my own purposes.

I see no problem with this. Go right ahead.

Hi Jackal,

Unfortunately, this is impossible. PokerTracker comes nowhere close to keeping proper track of rake even for just limit ring games. For the first few months I was with my affiliate, the numbers I gave him from my Poker Tracker actually turned out to be about half of what I was owed.

You should have all the information in your PT DB to write this query yourself. I'm not sure if PT stores the number of people dealt in or not, I know it has # of players at the table but if someone is sitting out, does it handle that? If yes, you have all you need in the DB.

I guess I was unclear. I know that I am allowed to do this. I just don't know how to do it. And if all the information is in there, can someone tell me how to query it and get it? I am not a programmer.

If somebody tells me how exactly the rake is calculated for rebate purposes I could write a simple utility to get this info from DB.
I suspect it's SUM(total_rake/number_of_players), but I'm not really sure.

Yes. It's total rake/total players dealt in the hand

There would be one other thing to check, the hand history number, to make sure it hasn't been used, and to check that the player in question is indeed in the hand.

In Poker Tracker, go to game notes. Click get all. Take the total rake listed. Go to summary. Find average players. Divide total rake by average players per hand, and you will get a very accurate number.
