What I want to know is: am I actually getting an advantage over other players, especially Party Poker players, by reading and re-reading this site? Do the majority of players read or not read this site and other various media on the topic? If this is redundant I appologize, I am new to the site.

the majority of players you ever face will not be reading much on the game. other than the directions from a hoyle book.

dont give them that much credit.

if you want to accelerate your game dramatically, you've come to the right place.

Ahh but our "secret" is out. The word is spreading. My last 3 sessions "newbies" obviously, have been talking about and recommending this site to anybody. As I feared the the inevitable has come. But I still think your right the majority are clueless I just hope it stays that way [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

but remember, alot of newbies want a get rich quick, spoon fed method. i think most wont take the time to really invest in studying the game for more than a short time. then realize that it is work to do it. it takes alot of time to really learn the game. i know a couple guys ive told about it brush it off for that reason. and they could be stellar players if they wanted to.

it's also not as fun to play so tight. they want action.
the forum may also be more popular with online rooms than B&M rooms. but i still dont think it's anywhere near a majority.

If you study and eat your veggies then you will come out ahead of players who play by the seat of their pants. Ok, you really dont need to eat vegetables.

Probably not. Most players want to have fun. Playing poker correctly does not seem fun to most players.

Very true - Never thought of it that way. My friends do not let me play in our "home game" anymore. They can't stand losing their money! LOL, Even though I give them tips and keep telling them to read, study and practice, it's usually ignored and laughed upon. They just keep telling me "your so damn lucky". If you believe there is quality stuff here then it is worth reading, and that doesn't change if everybody else is reading it: if nobody else is reading you have a big advantage, and if everyone else is reading you don't want to get left behind.

The problem is that there is far too much here to read. Picking and choosing is such a bear.

Couldn't be more true IMHO. Diet books rule the bestseller lists, but there's still a lotta fatties out there.
