Changes at Party - MUST READ!!!!

Hi,
Im looking to start a petition to party to change the blind structure of their 3/6 game to a $2/$3.

I think the affiliates who have leverage would be most effective in getting this through.

I see no reason why part should ahve a structure which invites a tighter game.

So someone more articulate than me, needs to write up a petition, and some of your more efficent dawgs gotta pimp it out there and lets get this thing changed!!

I think a better change would be to make it $1.50/$3.00 blinds. They are already implementing rakes in $.50 increments, so it's not unusual to see pot sizes end in .50 amounts at these limits.

1. i think most players are already more comfortable with 1-3 blinds and may be turned off by 2-3 blinds...perhaps to the point where they would be mnore likely to try a different site (possible...not really certain).

2. (and more importantly) - the 1-3 blinds are better for a +ev tight player. if the sb is 2 then the loose idiots are actually playing a better game when they complete/limp with weak holdings.
a player who loosely defends almost any blind will now be more correct (or at least...less incorrect) to do so. seems this would be contradictory to the FTOP imo.

I really haven't noticed the games being too tight.

You should be very tight from the SB in the current structure, yet players regularly complete it with trash. If the blind is raised to $2, they will not be making a mistake nearly as often. Why reduce the number of mistakes they are making?

I disagree.
First off, they significantly call less raises from out of the SB, and for my experience they dont complete nearly as often at 3/6 as they do at 2/4 and other limits.

Since I'm never going to play $3-6 again, <knowing laughter here> my viewpoint should be ignored. I don't think they should change it. I personally like the BB twice the SB, but weak tights have to eat too.

I think the current structure is the best for the tight aggressive player. An orbit at 3/6 only costs you $4 and at 2/4 it costs you $3. You will notice that the blind increase as you move from 2/4 to 3/6 is only 33% but the stakes increase by 50%.

I personally dont care if the fishies dont call/complete as often out of the SB. The fact that the orbits are comparatively cheaper for the stakes that are being played makes it great for us tight aggressive players.

So pop quiz: what is the most common error the typical
player makes in LHE? Answer: calling instead of folding.
Having such a structure makes those mistakes even bigger.
Well, if you want a bigger ante structure, consider 7 stud!

Why not title your post "Changes at Party $3/6 HE blinds"

This was not a MUST READ!!!! post; and I'm a Party player.

Re: Changes at Party - MUST READ!!!!

i agree completely with this post. i do not expect that increasing the blinds to 2/3 would cause most players to be any looser outside of the blinds, except the good ones that know to adjust because of the increased money in the pot. what will happen, though, is that the small blind will start calling automatically in an unraised pot, a correct play. why change the game so the biggest fish in the world will play more like the sharks?

and if you like high antes promoting loose games, try out .50/1 stud, where the ante is five times as high as it should be.
