Winning at showdown rate.

My win at showdown rate is only 48%.

I put this down to the fact that I am very aggressive in pots, and want to try to put opponents off playing back at me. Also, because I a nearly always raise pre-flop when entering a pot and often raise the flop, I often have decent pot odds to call the river.

However, I feel that 49% is too low. What kind of % do others have? And what do you think of 49%!!

Re: Winning at showdown rate.

Most winning players in my 400NL db have 48-54% W$SD, but same goes for a lot of losing players.

Another useless bit of info: top 20 winning players avg 53%, top 20 losing players avg 49%.

What is your PTBB? As long as it is where you want it, then your W$SD is fine with your style of play.

My PTBB winrate is 3.6/100 which is ok, but could be better. Though my win at showdown % may be a leak.

Only way to answer the leak question is post some hands where you think you might have made some questionable river calls.

What is your went to showdown % and win $ when saw flop % ? The three stat together are much more useful.

my rate is 51% right now, I wouldn't be too concerned about 48% at 45% is when I would start worrying

this number can easily be inflated if you end up with a lot of draws against passive opponents.

Re: Winning at showdown rate.

Maybe you have some leaks in your starting hands. In the very end some starting hands are just going to lose no matter how good you play them. I don't know if you raise something like QJo from button, if it's folded to you. I did that for a while until I noticed that I was getting called only when I was a dog. It's just impossible to profit against something like AQ. This is especially true when you play against players who know what they are doing.
