If villain was ahead of you then a fold is a good thing. I like it if for nothing else it disguises your hand if you hit and many times allows you the option to take a free card. Your raise was 2x pot and was not that excessive (though $9 probably also does the job).

I like the initial PSB, but once he minraises, I like to call. I don't think your raise has enough FE to make up for the lack of equity edge, and so your raise would be -EV.

Are you screaming draw if you call here? I think hero just made his flop and turn calls simultaneously here. A call here and villain leads out for pot anyway. This way hero gets an extra chance to win (villain folds) and gets to the river a the same price.

Of course this only works if you have position and hero's raises are respected.
