Vulnerable straight draw

One of my first 5/10 hands. Villain is new to the table but sat down with well over 100bb which is very unusal. The other guy is also totally new so no read there either.

Hero - Posts small blind $3
Villain - Posts big blind $5

Dealt to Hero [9s 8d]

3 Fold, Bob Calls, Hero Completes, Villain Raises, 2 Calls

*** FLOP *** [2c 7s 6c]
Hero ?

Whats the plan? I think Villains range is somwhere around AKs-ATs, AKo-AJo, AA-88.
After some thinking a Bet/Call with Villain raising to get Bob out of the pot and then a call on the turn unless an ace falls seems like the best alternative. Opinions?

I love that we're giving opponents random names now.

I'd c/c the flop. I don't see much value in a bet here seeing how much we're likely to get raised.

yeah check call.

i think you're mentioning in there that you might fold the turn or something if an ace falls??? nay!

check/call the flop. You don't want BB to blow everyone out of this pot.

Where are you playing this at? I just ask because I don't think I've seen a 3/5 SB structure anywhere before.

[/ QUOTE ] Why would you fold if an ace fell on the turn? I would suggest that you check and call and let Bob in. There may be some advantage of using PFR to get Bob out of the pot because you could increase the chance of your winning the pot if you hit an 8 or 9 but I believe I would prefer him there for when we hit a str8. The pot isn't all that big yet and I don't think we are really concerned about freeing up our 8 or 9 outs (I just don't think either fits all that commonly in Bob's hand range). In addition if we do hit an 8 or 9 on the turn and we are worried about redraws for the other opponents a simple bet there would be enough to protect your hand against overcards.

You summed up everything i missed there pretty neatly.

It was played at Absolute.
