Don't have specific reads, but I just remember villian had a decently high vpip, but pretty standard for 1-2 6max tables.

For these situations, my "Rule Of Thumb" goes something like this...

Call a river-donk from a donkey, but fold to a donkey's river c/r

i think your ahead enough to make this call profitable. with the pre-flop raise, i would guess that he is putting you on missed overcards and hoping to take the pot with his river bet. i would easily make this call on the river.

call &gt; fold &gt; and raising isn't even an option. it has been disabled.

River call is ok, it would be silly to fold for 1 more bet. Unless he decided to slowplay his pair of jacks, I don't know what he has here that has you beat, that he wouldn't raise on the flop/turn.

what was so wrong with his play outside of the preflop call?

and to luck: how is raising not an option here? what are you afraid of getting 3bet by? 35? 44? some 2 pair river spike? his range includes a 9 or a PP or even just a bluff that he will call the raise with 'to see what you had'. i think you are good way more than 55% of the time here, and when your not it is usually against a weak J that aint 3betting you.
