bankroll requirements for live spread-limit games?

I have played hold'em in casinos for along time, but I have never played stud other than online. Over the holidays I will be playing at a casino that spreads stud regularly, and I would like to try it live. What are the bankroll requirements for a 1-5 spread limit stud game? What is a good session buy-in?

I usually buy in for 100 and that is plenty. Most people I see at the tables buy in for less.

Thanks.

I noticed in the FAQ that 300 big bets is reccomended for a regular limit game (i.e. 5-10 or the like). Does this hold true for spread limit?

I'd buy in for $100. Well, I'd probably be a jerk and buy in for a grand or so. The 300 BB thing is if you're playing for a living. If you bring $500 to play with on your trip, it should be overkill for that game. If all you have to play with is $200-300, you'll probably be fine if you can play at all. Anything less than that, and you'd better be real sure you don't lose more than a couple of pots.
