Blind Defense Quiz/Poll
 

Lots of confusion on blind play, so here is a poll to get some discussion going.

Assumptions:
1) Villian is stealing the blinds approximately 30%.
2) Villian plays average postflop.
3) You aren't 3-betting any of these preflop. Of course, some of these you might, but let's assume you called.

Things like: Bet/Fold

Also, We're on BB and he's raising from CO? Button? Does SB fold or call?

Otherwise I think this is cool. Can anybody who voted check call and fold UI with K9d explain themselves? I voted CR and dont think its close.

Probably this: You have 7s7c Flop is AcKcQc

A/K/Q wont fold but a bluffer wont raise IMO. Also our BDFD is weak.

Its kind of a last ditch attempt to win the pot hand IMO.
Also if we're not behind theres lots of outs to potential screw us.

Reward is small going to showdown, but losses could potentially be huge(Bigger flush, Straight, higher pair Etc all beating us).

I would consider it with K6 on the TT6 flop and Q9 on the A9x flop.

I don't think this is a good spot to c/r. There are way too many big broadway combinations that have hit this flop in one way or another (AT,AQ,AJ,AK,KQ,KJ,KT,JT,QJ,ect) If you c/r, you are getting called a ton here and really have no idea where you stand. Firing another shot on the turn is going to be needed a lot and I'm not sure thats a good thing with this board and the size of the pot.

I don't think its optimum to c/r everytime you hit some time of marginal draw, although there are definately flops that call for it. I don't want to give up here just yet, so I would call the flop and hope to hit my gutshot straight, a diamond, or a K.
