Call a raise with small pair no kicker after bringing-in?

A fairly common situation is where I bring-in for $1 with small pair and no kicker (like [4h 7d] 4c, etc), the pot is $2 from antes. Someone then raises to $2, and most pots are 4 way including me on 4th,

Should I be calling to try to hit trips on fourth and folding if I don't?

This depends on a number of factors, imo. The is $10 when 3rd is completed.Suppose your left opponent bets out on 4th & the other 2 players call. There is now $16 in the pot, giving you 8 to 1 on a call. You look around at the board,& nobody has 2 of the same suit,no connectors,& there is no card higher than a J showing.Just about perfect.Besides hitting another 4,a 7 or an A,K,Q might give you a good enough shot to peel again.(I know this is loose.)It would be sweet if they're weak enough to give you a free card on 5th.Just realize that this is a marginal situation even when conditions are this good.
Normally you have to lay this down on 4th.Especially if the game is aggressive, there are players left to come in behind you,or their boards look threatening. If any of these factors exist, don't even think about it. You're out of there.
That's how I would play it,anyway. Good luck to you. Ben.

getting 5:1? Yeah I'd call and see waht fourth brought, folding if it doesn't give me either two pair, trips, or i might peel with teh start of a low draw (is that bad?)

It is if you're playing high-only.

I usually take one off when I'm half-in. If I don't make two pair or better or perhaps a decent three-card draw to go with my pair, I usually fold fourth. When the bring-in is smaller, such as at $3/6, I'll lean towards folding.
