Re: Misplayed KK Push?

Not raising preflop was definitely wrong. Pushing isn't as horrible as preflop, but I'd probably flat call (I'm getting better than 4:1 to hit my flush, which is what i need). You're basically pushing for fold equity, so you have to estimate how much you think you have here, which is player dependent. If you think he'll fold to your push often enough to make up for your missing pot equity, then by all means push away.

Is limping w/ AA or KK absolutely wrong, or is there something situation dependent here that I'm missing? Do the occasional bigger pots not offset the hands like this one? I appreciate the feedback.

I'm raising 100% of the time with KK. People will pay you off. Plus, just taking it down on the flop will add a significant portion to your stack.

It's not absolutely wrong, but it's wrong most of the time after somebody else has limped. I limp KK preflop sometimes if I'm in an early position and I can expect it to be raised behind me so I can reraise. I will also sometimes limp with AA or KK if it's been folded around to just the blinds and I'm in the BB, but that's also player dependent.

Basically, with AA or KK I want to (1) get more money into the pot, and (2) get it heads up where I'm a huge favorite to win.
