Pot Limit Hold em tournament tips/advice needed!!!

Hey, this is my first official post, but I have been a frequent reader of the forum for over a year. I searched the threads for some pot limit hold em tourney advice, but couldn't come up with anything. If anyone has any tips or advice, it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

Not quite what I was looking for. I understand and can apply tournament concepts. However, all my hold em tourney experience is either limit or no limit. My only Pot Limit experience comes in Omaha and Omaha hi/lo. I was looking for some basic strategy when it comes to playing pot limit HE.

Look in the pot limit cash section to learn pot limit concepts... then do what cit says.

i don't understand how you can say that's not what you're looking for.

you basically say that you have done steps 1 and 2. now you're moving on to step 3. go nuts. this is clearly the wrong forum to ask for "general pot limit holdem" advice. PM gavin (screen name 2005) haha. i'm sure he'll love that.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Guess I should have started in the other forum first. Would you guys agree that most general pot limit strategies apply to a tournament situation?? Any subtle differences???

you can't get all in as easilly.

stack depth management and pot control are more important.

implied odds are in general worse.

(than in nl holdem, all, of course)

I've never played pot-limit, but I'm guessing the concepts work more during the early stages of tournaments and as the blinds/antes get higher it's more of tournament strategies kicking in.
