Maximizing a Holding

MP3 is 25/14/3.5. I have not seen him make too many glaring errors as of yet. He also has a good sense how to play marginal hands. We have had no HU confrontations thus far.

Party Poker 3.00/6.00 Hold'em (9 handed) link

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, MP1 calls, 1 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (5.00 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP1 folds, MP3 raises, SB folds, BB folds, Hero?

1: Calls and check raises the turn.

2: 3 bet the flop and prays that villan stays aggressive

How can we maximize the amount of money we take from a thinking player without getting him to lay down top pair.

What is our plan for the rest of the hand?

I like the bet/call bet/3bet line

I've been doing this a lot lately. Sometimes a smart Villain will figure out what you're up to and fold, but you get a 3-bet in quite frequently. Villain is aggressive enough that it's a reasonable gamble, especially if you've been bet/folding with any regularity.

It depends really. I would just call his raise to make him think you will call anything he does.
