Stats?

I don't have pokertracker yet, just using what pokerstars sends you. Mostly 2/4and 3/6 limit.

Hold'em (Real Money):

1963 hands played and saw flop:
- 125 times out of 375 while in small blind (33%)
- 244 times out of 375 while in big blind (65%)
- 213 times out of 1213 in other positions (17%)
- a total of 582 times out of 1963 (29%)

Pots won at showdown - 108 out of 198 (54%)
Pots won without showdown - 126

And if you're looking for a good stat post, take a look at this.

2,000 isn't good just for a look? I just started 6 max and was wondering how these looked.

they are the wrong stats to be looking at. How many pots you won doesnt tell us anything. We can get a basic idea of what your VPIP (how often you voluntarily put money in the pot pre flop) is, but this is accomplished much better with pokertraker. So like someone mentioned, you really should buy it.

This doesn't really say much. Get PT, and anything less than 10K, which is the bare minimum, doesn't really tell you a whole lot.

I consider it a must have. If you don't want to buy it, you can do a promotion with an affiliate such as PSO and get it for free.

Not really. You can look but it doesn't even come close to being significant until you have at least 10-20k.

Re: Stats?

Did you know PT has a trial version? (At least, it did when I started.) That can at least get you started. It only gives you 1k worth of data, which really doesn't show anything, but it can at least give us some ideas about VP$IP and PFR. (That's voluntarily putting money in the pot and pre-flop raise.)

It really depends. I think you can get a decent idea of how many hands you play and your preflop aggression afte 1k. Stuff like how often you go to showdown, how often you win at showdown, and how often you steal take quite a while to converge. Most will say that 10k is a nice starting number to get a rough idea of your game.

Also, winrate is simultaneously the most important and least important statistic, and it takes the longest to converge.

General question to anyone who's still reading this thread: Are we going to have a stats thread here? I like that in the old Micros. It really puts a lot of the comments and advice in the same spot.
