Don\'t you worry about the stakes, continuation bet hand

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t800 (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG+1 (t5855)
MP1 (t23909)
MP2 (t18164)
Hero (t32903)
Button (t1335)
SB (t20254)
BB (t22760)
UTG (t3844)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
4 folds, Hero raises to t2400, 1 fold, SB calls t2000, 1 fold.

Flop: (t4750) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t2400

Micro tourney on Stars, 100 left, I have one of the top few stacks, par 16k.

I always feel nervous about these hands. It's a relatively good flop for me. I don't want to check and see a fourth club, but I really don't want him to semibluff with a 4th club, because i think i have to fold. Thoughts? Bet and hope for the fold, or call and push/pot a friendly turn?

I'll take a shot, others can tell me I'm wrong and if their opinions work better, go with them.

I would make a bet at the flop depending on what I think he'll do and what cards he has seen from me at showdown. If he hasn't seen anything, and I saw him fold on scary flops, I'll make the bet. If re-raises me, he might have the queen or semi-bluffing too.

If he calls, I'm in trouble because he wants me to continue. If he re-raises all-in...it's still early and I'll fight with him later.

continuation bet vitually every time. It's your best chance to win the pot.You are the aggressor, you have position. He is 118-1 to flop the flush, even if he has one club he still may be worried you have a higher club. You will win a lot more often than you lose doing this.

If we ignore preflop, yes, bet every time, fold every time to a raise. If SB is loose, you might try 3,000 or 3,200 as different bet sizes. You want him to fold really bad here, you don't beat much if he calls. He probably calls you down with JTo, T of clubs though.

1.) You need to learn how to use a big stack
2.) You need to learn the art of "position"
3.) You need to stop posting

Just out of curiosity, but why such a small flop bet? I usually make it 3000-3200 here because if he calls you can usually rule out the flush draw and assume that you're beat and he's not going away.

2400 just seems to not provide enough info if he calls.

Just my opinion...

just because he called a slightly larger bet doesn't mean that he doesn't have a flush draw .. at all. Theres a big difference between making it incorrect for them to call w/ just a flush draw, and them actually passing up on it.

You need to bet here, and make it 3k-3.5k. If he calls, I'll fold to a turn bet and check behind on the turn to snap off a bluff if no fourth club falls on the river.
