What is the target audience of the Sklansky NL book?

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, if someone could kindly post a link. I'm curious if this is going to be a cash game book or centered around tournament strategy and what level player is it intended for (newbie, advanced, etc.)?

It has been discussed. I think it is mainly cash games and it definately will not be a beginners book.

So, it'll be the NL equivalent to Hold Em Poker For Advanced Players? Maybe one day we'll have the luxery of reading it. And thanks for not posting a link to the search page.

From what I hear Theory of Poker would be a more appropriate comparison.

what about an SSHE for no-limit??? i think that would be useful.

the problem with HPFAP is that it's complete overkill against mediocre players. sort of "fancy play syndrome". great for tough games, the best. but SSHE is better for maximizing winnings against mediocre (or worse) players.

I wouldn't know, I've never read SSHE, I don't play limit, however, I have decided that I will buy it tonight and read it. Apparently there are a lot of bad players playing limit, so, I think I'll give it a try and see what it's like, however, I'd like to read up first so I can go into the game armed and ready.

russian bear,

you'll like SSHE... very easy read, quite decisive in its advice and good for low limit... low limit is much, much less stressful than no-limit.

i was just thinking we need a book about no-limit playing against easier players i.e. 5-6+ callers (including the blinds)... it's just so different than what most of these big-time authors actually play themselves.

I wouldn't know about the stress of level, I've never played limit. It just seems like a very popular game, so, I wouldn't mind expanding my options of games to play.

SSHE is invaluable to any one playing limit up to at least 20-40 IMO
