AC Borgata or Taj

Hey guys, I haven't been to AC in quite a while but am heading there Friday. Was trying to figure out whether to play at the Borgata or the Taj. Probably lower limit stuff maybe 4-8 or 5-10 limit, and maybe some lower limit NL. Any suggestions? I've only played at the Borgata once, and it was a long time ago. Which room do you think has softer competition generally? Also, if I remember correctly, the Borgata's room is much smaller, and I'm wondering whether it might be harder to grab a seat there friday around midday.

Any help would be appreciated.

The competition at both casinos are hella soft. At those limits, it doesn't matter where you go really, they all play the same. Also depends on time of day. Earlier in the day, you get the septuagenarians and later at night, the competition gets younger and drunker. I'd go to the Borgata cuz the waitresses are much better looking. Actually, the Borg doesn't have a 5-10, they have a 6-12, which is also a lot of fun.

Friday before 6pm you'll get a seat at Borgata but they spread 3-6 or 6-12. At those limits anywhere in AC will be no foldem fish city. The Taj will have more games for you and a choice of 3-6 or 5-10. But be careful some of the diseases caught by touching the mystery goo on the Taj chips are incurable.

Plus if you are looking to socialize with your low limit tablemates the Borgata will feature people between 21 and 50 that are drinking and having fun, the Taj will feature people between 35 and 178 that are grumpy, miserable, and may not have showered in the recent past.

FWIW I play at both places but the Taj feels like work and the Borgata feels like fun.

Two very good points:

Borgata wait lists will be very long, possibly up to an hour.
Id go to Taj instead, In fact Id go to the Tropicana or Caesars before either one.

Yeah, if you're looking for 4/8, I would go to the Trop. Nice room, smaller, but nice.

I hate the Taj but the action is good.

If you want to wait a long time go to the Borg. It is the nicest room and when i go to AC that's where I go and I wait. But you will play either 3/6 or 6/12, though the 3/6 - 10/20 there makes me think PP 2/4 is tough.

If I was in your situation...I'd go with Borgata or Trop like danza said.

That's classic, in that it's so true... consider yourself heartily invited to go add that to http://poker.wikicities.com/wiki/Atlantic_City so that it might be preserved for posterity.

I'll be at the Trop this weekend playing 4/8. It really is awesome. I'm hoping it's a busy weekend.
