Is it possible to \"live\" in a casino?

Say you are a high volume B & M poker player at a big casino (in AC or Vegas - you pick the place)...you get a discounted room to stay at the casino, right?

Is it possible to not ever buy a place or rent and essentially live at the casino year round, playing poker 40 hours a week there like a full time job for you???
Could you work out a special deal with them to do this?
It this question totally stupid?
I would like to maybe try this for a summer 2-3 months down in AC to be by the shore/have a K*GA*S Summer.

You could probably live in the west edmonton mall... I wouldn't recommend it.

but you wouldn't be able to roll out of your bed, walk downstairs and have all those live games right there for you to play!

Plus, depending on the deal you have w/ the casino, you may be saving TONS of money by not renting or having to pay a BIG mortgage...think about it...

It's probably not that great of a life, but in theory is this plan executable?

I would never consider doing this but I still think the question is an interesting one.. gambler's anonymous links don't really help answer it.

I'll quote Raymer here -- hopefully you all can figure out how this seemingly very random Raymer post applies

Guys, clearly it is apparent to the OP that there is one rare game piece for each major prize, and that he is very unlikely to have it. We all know that it is statistically highly likely that the pieces he is missing include the rare pieces.

However, he wants to know if he has already gotten lucky. If you tell him that Ventnor is the hard piece to find, and he has it, then he already hit the jackpot, so to speak. And he'll go back and buy a bunch of large fries until he gets the common piece he is still missing.

So, if anybody knows where there is a list of the rare pieces, speak up. If nobody knows, then fine, let the thread die.

You can live very close to the casino and pay about the same amount (or a little less) and not be obligated to play to keep your rate.

ehhhemmm...but then you wouldn't be able to roll out of bed in your PJs, hop on the elevator, and ding! When the gold doors open have all those juicy poker games spread out before you. It'd be like christmas morning every day!
(maybe gamblers anonymous quotes do apply...LOL)

It for sure wouldn't be anything like Christmas morning

I've done this. I "lived" at the Horseshoe in Tunica for a few months, and except for the fact that there is NOTHING to do there other than play poker it was pretty fun. They had a decent poker rate, and all meals were basically free. I went a solid three weeks without seeing sunlight somewhere during that time.
