A6 UTG, 5.5BB stack blinds going up next hand

got a bit more than 5.5 blinds but the blinds go up next hand. what's the play, I folded but I'm a donk in these large fields

edit: 10 handed blinds were 1k/2k up to 1.5k/3k I think

depends on what factor the blinds are going up by.

also, is the table 10 handed?

there is a lot of info missing, but in general id say push.

Good fold. I would push with a lot hands, but not a weak ace. That is pretty suicidal. You are likely to be called a 3-1 dog.

You will probably need to defend your blinds in one of the next two hands.

I think you have to push...a weak ace may be the best hand you see through the blinds. Once the blinds past through you, you will have what under 2 BB due to the raise. Push it, if you have to suck out then hop in your luck box and take it for a ride.

It is possible no one will attack your BB since you are pot committed to call. Otherwise, generally defend your BB. You are much better off with a random hand in the BB versus some raising or stealing hand than with A6o against AT or 88 or something.
