for those who play everything...

which games do you read hands best in? mine 1st to last (assume mid stakes full game):

1. live nl holdem
1.5... live stud (maybe a tie for 1st but you can do less w/ the info)
3. live pl omaha
3.5...live triple draw
4. live tournament holdem
5. live limit holdem
6. on line stud
6.5...on line tornaments
7. on line pl omaha
8. on line nl holdem
9. on line limit holdem

funny thing about the list is it mirrors my winrate. guess im a people person. and i do think tournaments offer more hand readin g situations on line than the other games due to the survival factor.

just curious, why is live nl holdem higher than live stud but online nl holdem lower than online stud?

I have played stud maybe 3 times in the last five years. Much easier to deduce hands in stud because there is so much information. 7-handed stud is a great game.

No limit holdem is second.

My limit game has atrophied to borderline pathetic, but playing no limit makes it much easier to read people. In a shorthanded 80-160 game at the Bellagio last June (my first real limit endeavor in 3 years and last save for a highly embarrassing 15-30 session witnessed/coached by felson with help from JA Sucker and I believe Schneids two days later), I played marginally but was able to drop TP2K on the flop and call down three streets with AK no pair correctly in the hour I played.

Tournament nl is third. Live PLO I am a guppy. Tournmant limit why bother.

live nl holdem
live tournament nl holdem
on line tornaments
on line nl holdem cash games

I don't play much of the other games, just play them for kicks when Im bored so Ill take them out of my list.

Limit Omaha 8 (esp. shorthanded)

It seems so easy to read people at this.

Re: for those who play everything...

I didn't include hilo games. Stud/8 is my new #1. Can't be Omaha/8 because around here the VPIP% for live O/8 is about 70% and the VPIB(Body) is about 5 beers. It's like a VFW post game. Half don't know what _they_ have let alone what the next guy has.

btw HOE is a great game: rotating orbits of holdem, O/8 and stud/8. We also play alternating orbits of NLHE and PLO, another great game.

Somebody who's going to Tunica needs to sit me down and explain PLO. I suck out loud.
