5/10 6-max: AA 3-handed

Does anyone play this differently? I think MP played the hand like a monster, but I was unable to make the laydown. Am I a calling station, or am I good enough here to warrant a call? I don't have villain's stats ATM but I don't remember playing with him too much, and I was playing fairly LAGGY.

only thing i would do differently is call the flop....doesn't matter tho i think you are getting all in in this spot anyways...

If you're playing fairly laggy, I wouldn't think twice about getting all-in here. I'd welcome it.

Sure looks like one. I'd say 222 or 444.

What range can you put him on here? Overpairs seem unlikely, and he has to be a real donk to play AJ like this.

You don't have to worry too much about free cards on thsi completely drawless board, if you're ahead, they're probably drawing at ~8 outs collectively. Let him keep betting his J. Reevaluate on later streets.

What hand that you're ahead of calls your flop raise?

Unless villian has been playing super laggy, I think we're good here about 10% of the time. This hand reeks of a small set.

on top of that his play is very inconsistent if he was slowplaying a monster, he should flat call your raise and induce you to bluff more, instead he pushes.

the play looks more like ignorant TPGK type hand.

Re: 5/10 6-max: AA 3-handed

Well it isn't the results that I'm concerned with here, I made my call with 1 second left in the bank. Villain flipped up KhQh!?!? But I still felt a little fishy afterwords cause this screamed 444 especially limping EP and calling all the raises then finally sticking it in when the pot was bigger. I really feel like recently I've become a DONKISH calling station, which was uncharacteristic of my past. I have been swinging around a lot the last couple weeks cause I'm overplaying my hands severely and calling overbets on rivers with two pair, etc. But I really feel like I'm behind in this spot 90% of the time and only called cause I ran out of time and was being stubborn.

I used to fold AA/KK all the time, and find myself now overplaying them quite a bit. I think I'll take the weekend off and see how it helps my game out... but of course, that's easier said than done.

Villain flipped up KhQh!?!?

If you actually do fold AA the way he played it, then his push was good.

do you realize how bad his initial call is?

Oh, haha, I didn't even notice it was 3-way. I thought this was a heads-up pot. I rule.

Yeah, your raise sucks bad in a 3-way pot. Either make it bigger or smoothcall and do something on the turn depending on what the other two do. I like the second option more.
