Good time to push?

So I'm in the final step of the Mini Step tournaments at Party, and as expected everyone is playing super tight.

Blinds at 50/100 with 8 people left
Hero CO 800
Villian BB 1200

Hero K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] raises to 200

Flop comes 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and Villian checks to me

You need to list all the stack sizes. Especially the button and SB. And if you're going to play this hand, you should have gone all in preflop. Min-raising almost always sucks.

Yes. You don't have enough chips to do anything else..

But what were you trying to accomplish with a minraise?? You either have to push or fold, that minraise is pretty yucky.

Yep. But next time push pf. The raise to 150-200 would work much better here at 25/50.

Sorry you lost to his 33.

Easy push if you need to win the pot. Otherwise take a free card and try to stack later if youhit.

push preflop.

and unlike what someone else said, none of the other stacks at the table matter in this hand except your own.

Exactly. 8X the BB, this is an auto-push. I dont care what the other stack sizes are.

I thought this would be a good time for a stop n' go...Unless he has a pp (which he did btw 10 10...) he would most likely fold. So when would a good time to use the Stop n' Go?

While this may be true, it's always a good idea to let the newcomers know to post all the info for the future.
