Re: This could put anyone on tilt: (LC)

Why? Because you laid down one pair?

Re: This could put anyone on tilt: (LC)

maybe because I folded to a bluff/semi-bluff from someone with a pretty lousy hand.

Re: This could put anyone on tilt: (LC)

If that can put you on tilt, you might want to pop a couple valiums before you play.

He had about 14 outs going to the river...

AA is overplayed in PLO by hold'em players too often anyways. I'm glad to see you can lay it down when it looks like you're beat.

Dont sweat that hand, just move on, and, he'll make the same play at you one day when you've got the blazing bloody [censored] nuts.

Me: Whining (NC)

Whether the Villain knew it or not, he made a great play there, especially if he put me on Aces.

I was certainly catching cards last night though.

I have so far caught bad flops at least 60% of the time with good AAxx hands. I had AA2Jss last week and the flop came KKQ. See below for another one. I didn't lose, but that is a pretty horrible flop.

Villain's holding is a mystery, so I have no idea if his play was reasonable up to the turn. What isn't a mystery is that it's pretty obvious you have AAxx. On the turn, if I was the villain and saw your PTO stats indicated you were capable of folding AAxx, then I'm raising your weak looking bet every time regardless of what I'm holding. Betting $2 into a ~$10 pot screams weakness. It's like your asking to be bluffed off your hand, and villain is happy to oblige you.

I was trying to keep the momentum/make a block bet, but you're right Tom, it was really weak. Out of potting, check-calling, check-folding, or check-raising, a weak lead is probably the worst idea.

I thought if he had flush draw, straight draw, or trips (no boat), that I might make it to a cheap showdown by maintaining control. I have been able to do this with many weak players lately.

I've found people love to min-bet (or make similarly small bets) at the lower levels. Your $2 bet is a step up from the min-bet crap, but it still doesn't accomplish much. Lately, when people min-bet into me especially when heads-up I take it as a personal insult. It's like they're trying to offer me nice pot odds as an enticement to just call, when in reality they're the ones who want to draw cheap. It pisses me off and helps motivate a naturally timid player like myself to pop any weak lead for a raise.

Edit: The above may not apply so much to the lower levels. People love to min-bet their draws at $25, but the players there are also loose enough to call your raises too. So make sure you pick your opponents carefully if you decide to start bluff-raising people who weak-lead into you.
