Last Call
 

So one thing that has surprised me about San Francisco since I moved here is the way bars handle last call and closing for the night.

If bars close at 2 AM what time would you expect last call to be? Secondly what time would staff pushing everyone out the door?

i'd expect last call to be sometime around 1:45, but 1:30 wouldn't sound insane to me. push em out the door at 2.

Last call about 1:30 - 1:45 and kick everyone out about 2:15 - 2:30.

Its distrurbing that bars are not open till 4 AM everywhere. So weird.

When I started living in Cambridge, MA bars were only open until 1, except for The Peoples Republik which somehow was open until 2 so it was always jammed from 1 to 2.

I was in London this summer, and bars/pubs closed at 11. Clubs were open until 2. It's weird being able to drink w/o being 21, yet having the place close so soon.
