question regarding CRAPS

howdy

i have never played craps but i received an email that intrigued me. i used to play poker at pacific poker which is affiliated with casino-on-net so i get frequent mailings from them. today i received a "newsletter" which contained this:

Practice makes perfect!

This is just one of many playing tips that might help you once you get started.

If you're planning to play Craps, for example, it pays to research the best odds in advance as bets range from those with a stronger house advantage to those with a lesser advantage.

Start with easier wagers like the 'Pass Line' bets and back them up with the 'Odds' bets. There are very low house advantages on these bets, (0% on Odds bets for example).

can someone please shed some light on whether this statement about odds bets is accurate? it goes against all i have ever heard about playing pit games

thanks!

Re: question regarding CRAPS

Odds bets are 0% edge. However, to make odds bets, you must first make a -EV line bet (pass or don't pass, come or don't come).

You can only beat online craps thru the use of "precision shooting", which requires a lot of practice.

You should practice your online craps "precision shooting" at your favorite site's play money tables. Keep good records, and don't move to real money until you have a large enough sample (1,000,000,000 rolls or more) to prove that you have an advantage.
